Literally. A few years ago I saw some fancy leather decorations made by Bill Amberg in his leather studios. I quite liked the look of them but the price was another matter and as I am a magpie where fabrics and craft materials are concerned, I happened to have some white, brown and pale blue leather in my stash. It was just a question of cutting out the shapes, punching a hole with a needle and adding some thread. And my version is an absolute steal compared with the cost of the "real deal".
